Kirlin Mid-Atlantic, LLC was originally established as the first Kirlin business unit in 1960 and has grown into one of the largest and best-known mechanical construction company in the region.  The company has played a key role in building marquee projects throughout Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia.  Kirlin Mid-Atlantic is equipped with one of the largest fabrication facilities in the country.  With this facility, it is capable of providing high quality piping installations through any delivery system - including design/build and fast-track construction.   Kirlin Mid-Atlantic is currently looking for Project Engineerto join our Rockville team!

Position Overview

The Project Engineer/Coordinator will provide support to project management staff.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design and construction contract administration, to include but not limited to processing RFIs, submittals and closeout documentation.
  • Inventory, check and inspect materials and equipment.
  • Perform quality control inspections; complete reports and follow up.
  • Perform additional assignments as directed by the project manager.

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering/Construction Management or minimal 5 years of experience in the mechanical design/construction industry.
  • Microsoft Office computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Excellent understanding of schedules.
  • Good verbal and writing skills.

Physical Demands

Ability to stand, climb, walk, sit, talk, hear and see.  Routine operations may require standing for hours at a time, climbing ladders and stairs, sitting for completion of required paperwork, communication of ideas and direction and to hear and see what is said and what occurs at the site and at on/off site meetings.  Ability to life 75 pounds.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable an individual with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.
