Kirlin Builders, LLC (KB) was formed in 1994 to provide Design/Build and Design-Bid-Build services to our nation's aging military medical facilities through renovation, repair and related construction services.  We have established a national reputation for construction and renovation of medical research facilities and laboratories - which includes the construction of specialized containment laboratories up to Bio-Safety Level Four.  KB has since expanded our expertise to provide a full spectrum of Design/Build construction services as well as General Contracting services in both the Federal and Commercial markets.  With a footprint of experience in over 30 states and Europe, KB continues to grow and expand our services and attract the most talented group of professionals.

Kirlin Builders LLC is looking for a dynamic, driven, enthusiastic Business Development Manager with proven success record within the Large Commercial General Construction market in TEXAS!  This position will sit in the Austin, Texas, home office, and develop the Austin and overall Texas market! 

Role Description:

Job Overview: The primary focus for the Business Development Management is to grow sales and relationships that benefit the long-term growth of the company for strategic new markets and services with the Austin Texas and surrounding GC markets. May be assigned to specific areas of discipline, business units, or customers as deemed necessary by management.



  • Meet Sales Quotas as agreed between Director and Business Development Representative
  • Establish new, and maintain existing, customer relationships.
  • Prospecting new business to grow and penetrate new markets and increase market share
  • Primarily focused on increasing and renewing our maintenance customer base business.
  • Prepare Reports for internal and external customers
  • Provide unique, cost effective Maintenance Agreement Solutions to solve the needs of our customers
  • Become connected in trade organizations and networking groups.
  • Collaborate with other sales team members
  • Persuading clients to use our solutions and services to satisfy their need
  • Negotiate solutions and close sales that benefit both company and client
  • Computer literacy for MS Office, CRM Platforms, Outlook and other relevant business software applications
  • Assist with the following business functions that support the company:
    • Communication between Sales & Service; Keeping customer informed throughout the project life cycle and beyond.
    • Accounts receivable collections
    • Team Events: Networking, Trade Shows, Publications, Conventions
    • Marketing Ideas 


  • 2-year college degree or equivalent outside sales experience.
  • Operating knowledge of mechanical construction equipment, material, and drawings specifications is preferred but not mandatory
  • Good communication both written and oral and interpersonal skills will be essential for further advancement.Preferred Experience:
  • 10 plus years proven sales experience in Large General Commercial and/or Government Construction, HVAC, Mechanical, or related field
  • Proven record to successfully generate sales increases, generate new customers, and provide support to various specialty services to promote, sale, and grow the division within the Large Construction, HVAC, Mechanical, or related field
  • Ability to consult with clients to offer best services/packages
  • Ability to Cold-Call and train others on processes of selling new services
  • Good communication both written and oral and interpersonal skills will be essential for further advancement.
